Jankrats is a small, non-commercial fan project. This page explains what information it collects and how it's used — in plain language, not a wall of boilerplate.
Account info. If you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider, to create your Jankrats profile.
Your collection & deck data. The cards you own, decks you build, your wishlist, tournament results, and any posts or comments you make, so the app works and syncs across your devices.
Card scan photos/video. If you use the camera or photo/video import feature, the frames captured are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to identify the cards shown. We don't keep a copy of these beyond what's needed to process the scan.
Usage analytics. We use PostHog to see which pages and features are actually used, so we know what to fix or improve. This is aggregate usage data, not sold or used to build an advertising profile.
To run the app: sign you in, save and sync your collection/decks, show your collection to friends who use the Friends feature, identify cards from a scan, and understand how the app is used so it can be improved.
We don't sell your data. Information passes through the services Jankrats is built on: Supabase (database/backend hosting), Google and Discord (sign-in), Anthropic (the AI behind card scanning), and PostHog (analytics). Other signed-in Jankrats players can see your collection, decks, and public posts through the Friends/social features — that visibility is a core part of how the app works, not a third-party disclosure.
You can edit or delete your collection entries, decks, and posts at any time in the app. To delete your account and associated data entirely, contact us below.
Jankrats isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
This page may be updated as the app changes. Check back here if you want the latest version.
